JOB DESCRIPTION:
An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and respected manufacturer and distributor within the electrical products market.

This is a field-based sales role focused on managing and developing relationships across the region. You’ll represent a leading portfolio of electrical solutions including industrial plugs and sockets, transformers, enclosures, cable reels, and specialist tooling supporting customers with both standard products and bespoke project requirements.

This is a high performing region that has been well managed and my client has a strong customer base across national and independent wholesalers and distributors. The role combines account management of established customers with proactive new business development. You’ll be responsible for driving growth through the wholesale channel, increasing pull-through demand via contractors and end users, and supporting targeted marketing and product campaigns to deliver regional sales objectives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Managing and developing key relationships with electrical wholesalers and distributors.
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities with M&E contractors, OEMs, architects, and specifiers.
• Supporting product training and technical presentations to drive product awareness and engagement.
• Delivering campaign activity, new product introductions, and trade events in line with the sales and marketing plan.
• Providing accurate forecasting, CRM updates, and weekly reports to track performance against KPIs.
• Attending exhibitions, trade days, and internal sales meetings as required.

EMPLOYER:
This business is a long-established, well-regarded manufacturer and distributor in the electrical industry with a 30+ year heritage and a strong reputation for product quality and customer service. They are recognised for their supportive culture, stable sales teams, and commitment to developing their people, providing all the tools and training needed for success.

LOCATION:
Field-based role covering Scotland and Northern Ireland. Occasional travel to Northern Ireland may be required, though this will be limited and planned well in advance.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven experience within the electrical or wider M&E market - product background is flexible.
• Strong understanding of electrical wholesalers, distribution networks, and/or M&E contractors.
• Track record of developing relationships, growing regional sales, and delivering against targets.
• Ambitious, self-motivated, and commercially driven, with a proactive approach to business development.
• Loyal and committed, looking to build a long-term career with a reputable and supportive manufacturer.
